These are links from my Google Reader Shared Items to interesting webpages I discovered for 6/30/09 through 7/6/09:
- Top 10 Reasons Why The BMI Is Bogus : NPR -
- YouTube – Pixar’s Up Soundtrack – Track 3: Married Life – I love this composer and I love this soundtrack!
- 10-Percent Tip Teaches Waitress Valuable Lesson | The Onion – America’s Finest News Source – Classic!
- SNAP ANALYSIS: Why is Sarah Palin resigning as Alaska governor? | Reuters – I honestly would much rather it be a scandal than a presidential bid. Please, please, please don’t let it be a presidential bid…

- 5 Years After: Portugal’s Drug Decriminalization Policy Shows Positive Results: Scientific American – Misleading title – this is not decriminalization. But it is lessening the penalties for small possession, which seems to have had positive effects. Also, this is a Cato Institute report, so it’s likely to be very biased towards decriminalization.
- Iran’s Twitter Revolution? Maybe Not Yet – BusinessWeek -
- Stuff Christians Like – Why didn’t I think of it? I wish the posts were shorter, and I think whoever writes this could use a little more angst, but still posts like “#558. Saying you were going to preach a different sermon but God changed it at the last minute.” are GOLD.
- What’s the connection between abortion and careers? | Penelope Trunk’s Brazen Careerist – Thanks, Harrison. This is very good.
- Humans prefer cockiness to expertise – life – 10 June 2009 – New Scientist – Thanks, Harrison. This explains Anne Coulter and the rest of the gang.
